Volunteer Roles

Emcee / Teacher Liaison

Brings the energy to one practice space all day, helping teachers get set up and giving each class a warm, confident intro.

Registration / Check-in

Welcome attendees at the entrance, scan tickets, hand out wristbands, and help guests find their way around the festival.

Setup Crew

Help transform the space before the festival opens. Tasks include setting up tents, arranging furniture, and preparing practice areas.

Teardown Crew

Help pack up and restore the venue after the festival ends. A great way to give back while the energy is still high!

Vendor & Exhibitor Support

Assist vendors with setup, answer questions, and help ensure the marketplace area runs smoothly throughout the day.

Kids Zone Facilitator

Help facilitate activities and crafts in the Kids Zone, keeping young attendees engaged and entertained.

5K Run Assistant

Support the morning 5K run with route guidance, water stations, and cheering on participants.

Hospitality / Green Room

Help keep teachers and performers comfortable by managing the green room, offering refreshments, and assisting with needs.

I applied to become a volunteer, when should I hear back about my application?
We received an incredible wave of volunteer interest and have been diligently going through all of the applications. Everyone who applied will receive a response to their application - these will be issued on a rolling basis beginning on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

What kind of volunteer roles are available?
Volunteers provide support to City of Om in a variety of ways. Read more about these roles on our volunteer page.
Why volunteer with City of Om?
As a City of Om volunteer, you'll experience community, connection and shared purpose. It's an opportunity to meet great people and leave feeling like you were part of the magic that made the whole weekend shine. In addition, City of Om volunteers also receive a General Admission pass for the weekend, an exclusive volunteer shirt, and a special thank you for your time, effort and energy.
Is there a minimum time commitment?
Volunteer shifts run between 5.5 to 6 hours. While a couple of roles will have split shifts, generally these shifts are scheduled on a single day and in a specific time block.
Will there be any training provided?
Yes, a 1 to 1.5 hour orientation session will take place in a virtual format on May 28th from 6:30pm to (approximately) 8:00pm. The orientation session will cover volunteer expectations, festival layout, safety protocols, and wellness culture guidelines.
Are meals included for volunteers?
Volunteers will be provided with lunch and light refreshments will be available. We do our best to accommodate a wide variety of food preferences and dietary restrictions.
Can I volunteer with a friend or group?
Yes - the more the merrier! We'll do our best to accommodate group placements, especially for tasks like set-up or tear-down. Please note this on your application form.
Is there an age requirement?
Volunteers under the age of 18 will require approval from their parent or guardian. Volunteers under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Is there something specific that volunteers will have to wear?
Yes — as part of the experience, you'll receive a 2026 City of Om volunteer t-shirt to wear during the festival so you can be easily recognized as part of the team. If selected, we'll be in touch to confirm your preferred size.
